Thanks MR. I should have recognized the Birdman.

Here's another saxophonist, Big Jay McNeely at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, circa.1953

Perhaps some marginally good news from Photobucket

While PB users who had free accounts are still S-O-L, it seems that those who have paid Plus accounts do not have to
upgrade to the $400 per year account until the end of 2018. PB support tells me that as long as PB users renew their
existing Plus accounts, those users will continue to have 3rd-party hosting from Photobucket until the end of 2018.

I'm sure many of you know that LA will be hosting the 2028 Summer Olympics.

So, going with that theme...

Are Robert Graham's great statues still in place? If so, I hope they clean the pigeon shit off of them by 2028.... (I don't know who the girl was, but the male figure is very flattering to Terry Schroeder. Whoa, shades of Forrest Tucker.)

Yes they are indeed still in place. I always thought it was funny that unlike male nude statues of the antiquities, this one is circumcised; presumably it's an exact likeness of Terry Schroeder.

By the way, there is a grievous production error visible in this shot. See it?

Shouldn't we read "SUNSET BLVD" on the top front of the Hollywood car when heading North ?
