Show pics of your skyline and skylines that you like. What describes it??? What makes it unique??? For example, I've heard people say Shanghai is a futuristic form of New York City! I can't wait to see what you all have!
Even though I haven't been to Frankfurt, Germany, I enjoy how the city has a fresh look. Every skyscraper fits well with one another. People in Germany call it Mainhattan.
My skyline? lame as hell. one awful looking abandoned office building, and a decent looking art deco high-rise that is falling apart.
as for my perfect skyline, that would have to be hong kong/new york. manmade canyons created by ultra thick clusters of skyscrapers clumped up close together.
The last Calgary and Minneapolis shots are amazing. Great looking Modern and balanced skylines. WOW. And both relatively small metro populations. Personally from that last angle Minny's skyline blows the doors off of LA at one quarter the the metro size.

My city skyline, Lansing (MI), is characterized by how linear it is, its relative symmetry, and it's one legitimate skyscraper. The tower's clock is easily just as defining as the state capitol building if not more a symbol of the city.
my 2nd city (Porto Alegre, which is where I was born, and also, happens to be the state capital and its just 40km away from where I live (my city is part of POA´s metro area)
Salt Lake City: Short, gapped, and under construction, thank GOODNESS

An older panorama, currently one of the towers is demolished and a new tower is topped out, the Capitol renovation is finished and three more towers are peeking their way into the skyline. I just like this angle.

Around ten new towers are proposed or under construction right now for DT SLC, and I'm hoping we get all ten built soon
My home. Los Angeles has the 'classic' skyline with the tallest in the middle. Despite people's complaints of it being small for a city of it's size, Los Angeles is my favorite skyline on earth. It changes shape, it's powerful, and it's beautiful. No one can match it.

St. Louis: It's a city of many vacant spaces and average architecture. Yet, The Arch's architectural "aw" draws everyone in. There are also a few intriguing historical sites.
St. Louis City Hall: Built in 1898 and has housed the city's government since then.
St. Louis Historical Courthouse: Built in 1862.
Around town: Not much is happening, but a new addition is on the rise.
