Why not build all the way to the edge of 3rd Street? Is that going to be a parking lot? And even if they do build a bridge, the buildings on the other side of the street are still so far away. The road would be so wide. Ugh, it's just a mess.

I'm pretty sure until something can be done about those fugly power lines, that the street won't be widened. As it is they'd be in the way. I agree, though. This is a funky area of downtown with how the streets work.

If they do eventually decide to put a bridge over the creek, at least the divided road wouldn't be necessary after this block in front of Trader Joe's. The power lines make it the only way to do it right now, unfortunately. Speaking of which, anyone know anything about a potential bridge? I know someone mentioned a possibility in the discussion on the Independent. It would surely connect Seaholm and Trader Joe's, etc., to the rest of downtown nicely - in addition to the 2nd Street bridge.

Exactly my thoughts. I see the photos of the interior of the building and it reminds me a bit of the Orsay in Paris… would have been an amazing and potentially iconic public space.

Perhaps down the road. The company could scale back operations or outgrow their space, requiring a move. Don't know if that would ever happen...it may continue to be leased out.

Yeah, I don't have a zoom lens to share, but it's looking sharp.

I count about 22 floors, so it seems the crane is at its max height.

If anyone is near the area, take the time to go walk around. The plaza is open and fun to explore.

It looks like this one is going to be more blue than I previously thought. The renderings were making it look gray.
