They're really busy on the site this morning. Those red and yellow dots are the construction workers They were unloading something out of that red truck near the bottom of the pic earlier today.

I always thought these core climbing systems were interesting. Here's a link to a page that has an animation for how they work.

http://www.cityu.edu.hk/CIVCAL/produ...jump_form.html

Will the one used here be similar?

My experience watching cast-in-place concrete construction is that typically the entire floor - core and support columns - are poured and cast - and then the entire system jumps to pour and cast the next floor.

I believe One57 used a similar system.

So far, it looks like they are using a construction system more often seen in a hybrid building - where a concrete core is poured and jumped independently and then the steel - or in this case concrete - frame is built below.

Do you expect the core of this building to continue outpacing the support columns or will they eventually catch up to the core, in which case, entire floors will be jumped simultaneously.

How about a crown (similar to the BOA Tower in Charlotte?)

Well it would only make sense to have some sort of communication equipment up there since it be the cities tallest roof.

432 Park won't be the tallest to roof.

225 W57 is significantly taller to roof, per permits.

yea but we dont even know the final height for that and its not under construction so 432 park will have the tallest roof because its going to be done really quickly lol is their any chance this would get topped out before 1wtc opens? lol

I think the masts for Three World Trade Center would look and fit in very well on the roof of 432 Park Avenue. It could actually raise the height of the building from 1,400 feet to around the 1,500 feet range. Any taller would interfere with the building's looks and it won't fit in too well.

They would definitely make the building more interesting when viewed from a distance. LED-lit spires would look great at night as well.

Update! There was tons of glare and I tried to correct in photoshop, but it did not turn out so amazing. Alas! Pics will be better once it is taller.
