maybe itll just switch to its address like a lot of towers do.. if it switched to a Canadian tire sign, imagine how many times people would walk into the lobby asking where they can buy skates and blenders?

Good article in the FP today about the Bell-MTS takeover. The author notes that the takeover will be great for shareholders but not good for consumers with the reduction in competition resulting in higher rates and no better service. He's speaking tonight at the Library from 5:30 - 8pm.

Just too bad there is a Jets game tonight, a lot of people that may have gone to hear him may be scared off by the higher cost of parking in the area or the long walk from the reasonable priced parking.

Parking wasn't the issue. It is pretty easy to find on street parking at 5:30.

Even on game nights.

Interesting ... if you're on Google street view and try to go on the Disraeli footbridge, it suddenly transforms into the old Disraeli Freeway. You can go most of the way across, with the current bridge under construction just north of you.

"interesting" story in the CBC that starts to explain some of the allegations in the WPS new headquarter building fiasco.

It's a good, depressing, read.

Quote:
To date, police have identified that Armik [Babakhanians] used inflated and altered subtrade invoices and quotes to defraud the city of millions of dollars for work that was done at costs less than his fraudulent submitted costs. In addition to these frauds, police are investigating the use of a secret commission for the hiring of key project personnel,"

We're crying out about development fees and high taxes, the city says it has no money for anything and certainly not for anything interesting to go with the eventual removal of barriers at Portage and Main, but hey, they can overpay to the tune of tens of millions into some dopes coffers.

Fantastic.

That was one of them. I believe there were several, of lesser amounts. Sammy claims they must be for getting tickets to Jets games etc.
