Big tall podium like MLS...really adds some serious street presence. Cool to imagine a possibly 70+ floors on top of it (if they approve the ammended height increase).

How likely is the 75 floor threshold?

Aura's been approved for 75. There was a recent application for 3 more floors (78 total). We don't know about that yet.

Panama is in Central America, not North America.

Depends on your source. Some sources do not refer to Central America at all, just North and South America.

Geographically, Central America is part of North America - In that there is no doubt. However colloquially North America is defined as Canada and the United States, and sometimes (and reluctantly) Mexico.

Central America forms part of North America hence my inclusion. The point is that I am not sure whether The Point or Aurora is the taller all-condo tower.

8 Spruce Street is the tallest currently at 870ft.
The CTBUH has Aura at 874ft while skyscraperpage has it at 866ft, so who knows for sure
I think you should just go head and say that it is, I do

Its listed on this site as begin 266m or 872ft. So again, really close. But I seriously doubt its even that high.

The Point is only 67 floors and thats the height to the tip of the spire. But looking at photos of the building after completion you can see that there is no spire! Seems as though its been scrapped. The first 40 floors or so have the same height as the other condo buildings surrounding it (9-10ft) only the upper floors have higher ceilings. There's no way that the floor plates are on average 13ft high, so I'd guess that its really only about 750ft.

Tell anyone in Panama (or any other country north of South America) that they're not part of North America, and they'll look at you like you're an idiot. To believe otherwise means your geography teacher in school royally screwed you.
