by the way, has anyone ever flown thru the square thing (sorry i dont know what its called)?

Its called "Le Grande Arche" and flying through it is going to be impossible due to the panoramic elevators.
When you look on the left side of the inner cube you can see the steel construction to glide the elevators up & down

I really don't think so because that shaft still leaves 2/3 of the thing open for helicopter or small plane on its side. WWII pilots used to fly under bridges, I can't beleive its never been done, I suppose with all the risks and jail time involved, nobody has even considered it.
