I quite enjoyed those. Toronto's muscular grittiness comes through in many of your photos.

Toronto just really seems like a city that works so well, in every aspect from racial integration, public transportation, economy, etc.

I just visited Chicago and loved it, it'd be great to experience TO and see what's similar and different about the two places.

Where is that Archipel (last pic) taken I love those clustered nodes of towers Toronto is building, and those look to be quite tall. Kind of reminds me of South Korean cities a bit.

That's Humber Bay Shores in Etobicoke (pronounced E-Toe-Bee-Coe). That cluster is right on the lake and about 10 km west of downtown. There's nothing over 200m so far, but a 200m+ tower is set to break ground later this year.

Hearing positive comments puts things into perspective. We too often focus on what needs fixing, but these 'problems' are ones many cities would love to have. I suppose it's a good barometer of civic pride, a sign that we're tuned in/heavily invested that managing success has taken centre stage.

What always strikes me first about Toronto is turning into a cliche, the level of diversity to be found here. You really do feel like the whole world has just shown up. The mash up of cultures is chaotic, but endlessly exhilarating. I lived in London for 13 years, but London doesn't even match Toronto in this area. Toronto is multi-culturalism on steroids.

Is Toronto viewed as being "East Coast", Midwest (for Canada), or Great Lakes?

Or "Central Canada" if using Canadian terminology.
