Very nice, thanks for the update

This thing is flying along! Other developers should take note.

Yeah. I'm guessing they were going for something different and that we're going to regret it ten years down the road. Who knows though, the SAC at 12th and Montgomery also has some garish red panels but that building looks okay in its context. I'll reserve judgement until the final project is complete.

I don't have pictures but they dropped a flight of steel stairs through the 12&11th floors yesterday so expect a bit of a slow down in work.

This is topped off

Quote:
A milestone was reached today in the construction of a $100-million student apartment complex at 11th and Montgomery, on the campus of Temple University.

Today’s “topping off” ceremony marks completion of the structural phase of construction, and it’s something the workers have been looking forward to since they started on the job about six months ago.

Very nice This building went up so fast. It's not supposed to be open until next Fall.

That facade went up real fast. The bold colors actually remind me a lot of newer apartment buildings in Europe.

Between these new university and residential projects, with modern and unusual designs, and the new small-scale infill that either reinterprets the styles of the city's older row homes or veers completely contemporary... Philadelphia will wind up with a very different built environment than anything we've ever seen in Northeastern city up to now. It's fascinating.
