Can I do two?

In case of the first, I'd take the Leadenhall Building from London and put it in Lower Manhattan, exactly where 375 Pearl currently is.

In the second case I'd take the Ryugyong Hotel and put it somewhere on the Las Vegas Strip, it's the only place where it not only makes sense, but actually enhances both the building and what's already at the strip. Maybe when North Korea goes down, some investor could buy it and bring it to the states like London Bridge, which got relocated to Lake Havasu City.

Jin Mao is an absolutely gorgeous building, but I really can't see it any city outside China.

^^^ Ryuyong in Vegas is probably the suggestion I've read so far that makes the most sense. It's perfect.

some great choices here.

i may be stretching it a bit, but i'd steal the original version of new york's tower verre, and put it in san francisco where foundry square IV is, or somewhere near there. The base wouldn't make sense the way it does in new york, so it would need some rework, but san francisco's skyline doesn't deserve to be defined by the flat-topped mediocrity of another slightly curved pelli obelisk.

Adler and Sullivan's Guaranty Building. Drop that beauty anywhere in the Loop and it would be magnificent.

I'd take Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Towers and put it on Manhattan's East Side Con Ed Site near the U.N.

Easy, I would steal the 5th and Columbia tower from Seattle and put it in Portland where it wouldn't just be another tower in the mix, but instead the tallest tower in Portland. At 660ft, it would be taller than the current tallest building at 546ft.

my spouse wants grand old penn station in downtown dayton to draw everybody back downtown again in a central point and because it assumes the return of rail transit along with it. a great call i think!

If I could rebuild or continue building up Miami, I would look towards Havana and develop a worthy home for the Cuban Capitolio in an Art Deco, modern format.

Can I travel back in time and take a building from 1900 Chicago to put it back in 2015 Chicago? It's depressing, but we've torn down dozens of buildings of the caliber expressed in this thread. I'd love to have the Masonic Temple back or Sullivan's Stock Exchange. Such stupid, many loss.

I would love to steal Philadelphia's PSFS building and put it somewhere along Wilshire Boulevard's Miracle Mile section. It would work great with the area's existing Art Deco and Moderne building stock, but then again I would probably steal the building for most other cities too. It's just that great of a building.

Venturing down that rabbit hole is a very depressing experience.

Dozens upon dozens of buildings from Sullivan, Adler, Jenney, Burnham, Root, Gropius, Wright, and more. Almost every single grand railroad station; Union Station concourse building, Central Station, LaSalle Street Depot, Grand Central Station, Chicago and Northwestern Terminal. Entire neighborhoods filled with ornate turn of the century mansions and midrises; Prairie Avenue, Douglas, Oakland, it goes on and on...

Damn, looks like I went down the rabbit hole.
