Yeah, it's stupid and in reality there are 46 levels above the ground and 3 levels of parking. The floor numbering is missing floors 2, 14, 24, 34, 40-50 and 54. Funny enough, floors 4 and 13 are there. Perhaps the reason is stupid superstition or perhaps Intracorp just wanted to market the penthouses as 60th floor. Smoke and mirrors, and I will post a photo of the elevator panel later.

I just wonder how this affects the sales price of units on "floor 39" vs. "floor 51". They are right above each other, but 51th floor sounds so much more precious, doesn't it? I wonder if this reflects in the sales price? Stupid if it does, but such is human mind...

To the uninitiated, you'd probably get a lift just on premium "per floor" just based on floor numbering.

This sounds alot like Marine Gateway.
I have friends renting in Moda and who purchased in Silver. FWIW, I believe all of the new Metrotown towers feature this demographic, for better or for worse .

It's a good thing they can't do this stupid crap any more.

I believe Burnaby's outlawing it as well for any new developments going forward.
I know that Vancouver already have.

Here's the stupid floor numbering in elevator.

And here is my tall new home in today's sunshine. There we are up on the roof on the right side of the photo.

More to come...

Why is floor 50 missing too? If I had to guess I would say it's the only way they could call the penthouse level 60? Which makes me irrationally angry.

Yeah, that's my guess too. I had a chat with our Chinese neighbour yesterday and he called the whole floor numbering supertition f**king stupid. I could't have said it better myself.

Well, someone must have been thinking the same thing, as this week a new Subway opened in Station Square. I just saw a guy advertising it and didn't have the time to go and check where exactly it is at, but there is now one more closer by.

I think it's on Central Boulevard, if I remember correctly where the ads were.

So it's even closer to you than you had imagined.

So you have a Tim's AND a Subway practically and literally a stone's throw away from you.(though,...don't throw one from that far up so high).

I don't even know what to say. In 2016, we are still doing this? In a developed country? Oof!

Keep in mind, I've never seen this level of ridiculousness in Shanghai or Taiwan, so I don't know who the developers are trying to appease.

So they dont skip fours in buildings in china? If that is the case then I echo your sentiment. Why would they do it here? Its beyond stupid.

It happens, but it's usually only the 4th floor. Floor 14, 24, 34 etc. are generally not removed (at least in any of the 6 buildings I've lived in in Shanghai). You'd never see a whole block of floors like 40-49 missing. That's just insane.

You lucky bastard.

I just saw today that it's opening right next to the Holiday Inn from the Central Boulevard side.
So, right next door to you across the street from the future western Skytrain station entrance.

We should test these new found powers of yours.
Wish for a Quizno's and let's see if one opens up close by.

Quiznos is dead

The franchisee of both the Metrotown location and 12th St. switched to Subway

I think Quizno's has switched its focus to Asia for the time being. They just opened their first store across the street from me.

As powerful and almighty I might be, even I cannot bring a brand back from beyond the brink of death. What is gone, is gone.

Now hold my beer while I enjoy this tasty sub.
