These clowns have been kicking dirt around on this puny lot for 9 months now. The 1600 Sansom Project was announced 3 months after this project and its almost ready for cladding.

Got some pics... this has definitely been redesigned... it is looking much nicer now in the renders posted on the fencing.

Walked by the other day. They're still digging. They're now down to 1/2 story below ground level on Arch (twice that on Cuthbert).

According to LoopNet, this will be complete in September 2013

I think LoopNet had a little too much to drink.

The developers list when the project will be completed, not LoopNet

I walked by yesterday and looked exactly the same. A whopping 5 or 6 people on site - looked almost deserted. Seems strange they'd be moving so slowly with this.

You know, I suspect the new design is a result of value engineering but I agree that it looks a whole lot better than the originals. The bizarre colors and bar code windows of the original just seemed too faddish. This may not be the most exciting design, but it will at least not look garish in 10 years.

I walk by this every day going to work. Looks like activity has picked up as there was a bunch going on this morning (as well as work on Saturday). I'll be glad when steel starts going up as this corner of 19th and Arch is lonely right now.

Will be really interesting once (if) that other lot gets developed.

Which one? The old ACC lot to the east or the lot just north of this? Liberty Property Trust has plans to develop the lot to the north of this into an office high rise and it sounds like it might actually happen.

I don't think there are any plans at the moment for the old ACC lot, but I'm hoping something big comes up once the economy recovers a bit. That should be one of the lots that benefits heavily from AVI no?

The Liberty Property Lot. The ACC lot is massive and I can't see anything touching that for a while. Maybe if Comcast decides to expand, but who knows.

There really seems to be a glut of apartments and condos coming online. I mean just on Arch street you have the 17th and Arch building which was just completed. You have this project which is coming along. You have the add on to the AAA building, the Sanson, that new building on Chestnut, the Grainery, etc etc.

They must be getting paid by the hour on this one. I would have taken some photos today but there was nothing to see.

The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire may have a shorter time frame than the construction of this project

Yeah, I walk by this every day and cannot for the life of me understand why it is coming along so slowly. Work is happening though which is a positive sign, but if this thing wants to get completed before 2020 they are going to have to pick up the pace.
