Dual-Branded Hotel Near Brickell City Centre Submitted For Review

Developers Robert Finvarb and Tony Cho have formally submitted an application to build a dual-branded hotel and retail project in Brickell.

The two hotels will share “check in pods” on the sixth floor. There will also be food and beverage outlets on the same floor, along with an outdoor pool.

On the ground floor, 25,000 square feet of retail is planned. One of the retail spaces will be 11,905 square feet – about the same size as the Trader Joe’s store under construction in South Beach.

A rooftop terrace with a bar appears to be planned on level 21.

The 21-story tower will include 264 hotel rooms and 228 parking spaces, using stackers. The garage is designed by Arquitectonica to allow it to be converted to active use if the need for parking is eventually reduced, an attorney for the developer wrote.

The property was once home to the El Eden Motel, recently demolished by Finvarb to make way for the new development.

Arquitectonica is the architect. The Urban Developement Review Board will review the proposal on June 20.
