yes, its good to see a packed slate for next month. And we still should expect to see big stuff in the coming months like the Penn hospital and 1911 Walnut.

Looks ok. In my opinion, in serious need of some trees planted on the sidewalk on all sides. Or some other type of landscaping. Hopefully that happens in the next couple years.

I really like the Study. It is different. We need some more buildings that are differ like this. Different textures, colors and materials to complement all the glass (and yellow brick and metal paneling).

This is exactly what I think every time I pass by this site.

Agreed! I didn't really like it at first, but it's really starting to grow on me. The three best parts about the revised design are that it reactivates a dead area of Market Street, it creates a new pedestrian promenade between Market and Chestnut, and that it won't wall off views of Center City. It's a win-win situation overall!

Yeah, I agree. It actually kind of looks like a hospital or a new suburban office building from some of those angles. It's just very staid and uptight - rigid - like there's a crowbar shoved up its ass. The whole building feels like it needs to relax just a bit.

Great infill, but I'd give this one a "C-" on execution.

The Dalian looks like a damn fortress. Definitely needs some soft elements around the building to distract the look of it. And, I don't see cutouts on the sidewalks for planting street trees.

The Spring Garden side is awful and it's maddening. Part of it is that there appears to be a small undeveloped lot between the medical building and the Dalian on Spring Garden and I guess they're assuming that something will eventually get built there that will block some of the awfulness, but in the meantime it is just really horrendous.

Re:2400 Market

The 5 additional stories will nicely frame this shot. But personally, I would of prefer two skinnier towers bookending the base.

Agreed. While I understand that they consider the front of the building looking over the Parkway, the treatment given to Spring Garden side is a disgrace.

There are street trees in boxes surrounding the building in the renderings, so we'll see if that's added once everything is 100% finished (I'm hopeful they will).

That is a shame...I hope that's wrong or they at least do some other kind of non-planting landscaping as on South Broad in the blocks after City Hall.

I second that emotion. The building needs to be "warmed up" for sure. And the Spring Garden side is very bad.

Yes, hope so. I did see that in the renderings announcing Cheu noodle bar, which I love. A good tenant for the building.
