Amen to that.

A lot of projects seem to be stuck or forgotten about these days. I guess the economy ain't what it used to be and developers are waiting for some sign of a rebound, or at least oil to recover to over $50 consistently...

So we finally have a new downtown "high"rise to be excited about. Awesome.

It's a shame the beautiful Hamilton Street proposal died, that thing was a real work of art.

Here's a photo of the site that I took today. By the end of the work day there was much more work done. I'm assuming some of this is for drainage and pipework.

Sucks for those people who live right there in those attached pillbox houses. Gonna be a rough and noisy few months.

^ That doesn't look like a construction site (i.e. no hoarding around it), it looks more like an archaeological dig.

I'm pretty sure it's the ground work for pipes and drainage etc.

Here's another pic of the site from Friday

Drove by there this morning, looks like there was a bit of digging happening closer to the street too, but I didn't get a great look at the site.

There's a mobile crane at the construction site. It appears they're starting the construction of the tower crane.

The project has only been back on for a short time. Don't need the cranes till there's something to do. How long does it take for delivery of that amount of steel?
