Those big (grey) apartment buildings were decent when they built them (or at least not worst than those in other European countries) but after the Eastern Block collapsed most of the Eastern Europeans (and the Russians) didn't understood the liberty and they let anybody do whatever they want! Now those buildings look really ugly everywhere in Eastern Europe because they have different windows, closed balcony or open balcony ...all in the same building!

Thanks a lot! A crazy place... I recognize your hotel, it's by Izmaylovsky Park. It was built for the olympics in 1980, I think.

Nice pictures. I figured that I should start at the beginning of your trip. Those commie blocks look horrendous. I could never live in an environment like that.

Aside from the Subways and the Kremlin just about. It's dumbfounding as to why Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world!

Two days in Moscow was plenty. St. Petersburg on the other hand ...I'd consider living there for awhile it's so cool.

Ouais, I can see what you meant there a while ago...

My feelings about that brilliant German philosopher are not positive though, no matter how influential he's been. He's just a sorry materialist athieist, thus nothing much. You can't both call God a fake and be convincing , it's just impossible.
Meanwhile, if you claim God is real but can't show it by your own acts, by your personal natural feelings and attitude to those around you, you're just as doomed.

Do you know what all that crap came from, basically? The French Revolution and its legions of so-called great thinkers, as pretty much everything of contemporary politics. Liberalism, nationalism, socialism... All that stuff suffixed by -ism came from the local revolution that's still ranked as the most significant event of modern mankind history.

The only problem is the French Revolution never started off from faith, it all only began from hunger and extreme violent anger.

Marx was a fake for sure... Then the ideology he tried to enforce totally failed. He sucks. Just a sorry man to me.
