Yeah - the Riders had to win today and sweep the Bombers if they wanted to have any hope.

Can anyone going to the Labour Day Classic this weekend please wear a blue jersey?

The theme song to the game needs to 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins. For those not knowing Rider trivia. 1979 is the season the Riders started 0-12 on way to a 2-14 record.

^ If the Bombers go 0-2 vs. Sask during the next two weeks you will see an unleashing of full-scale fan rage in these parts. Sacrifice will be demanded. At the very least Bellefeuille would have to be sent packing. Possibly even O'Shea.

^Good grief. If the Riders go 2-0 these weeks Chamblin would unfortunately have a job for life.

I don't think the Stamps are playing as well as they need to. They aren't as good they were last year. Injuries and the off-season loss of a few players (notably the O-line) ultimately leaves the Stamps as a less talented group. Credit to Bo Levi Mitchell for managing the offense as well as he has with an inexperienced and poor O-line.

With a healthy QB, Edmonton is the better team and I fully expect them to represent the West at the Grey Cup.

It's official... Riders clean house and turf both Taman and Chamblin. What a quick and unexpected fall from grace for those two... from 2013 Grey Cup heroes to being kicked to the curb after an 0-9 start.

If the Bombers can't beat a team in total disarray this weekend, then there is no hope...

This is a spoof of a commercial I am sure we have all seen or heard way to many times. Made me laugh!

Tino Sunseri is going to be the brunt of jokes in Riderville for a longtime.

Eskimos gave away another QB for nothing, although it wasn't as good as the last time.

Bombers picked up Matt Nichols to fill in for Drew Willy in exchange for a 7th rounder. Even if Nichols' fate is to be a backup and not the starter that he was once expected to be, his experience will make him a great upgrade over Brohm and Marve. It also gives those two a bit more time to develop. I don't recall him being especially mobile, but hopefully he has the wheels to deal with our deficient offensive line...

Sounds like he won't play at the LDC.

Well, he may not be "ready"; however, that video is mean.

^ As a Bomber fan I had a bit of a chuckle, but that is unduly personal coming from Rider fans considering he's a young QB who is basically being thrown to the wolves.

Lions win, but lose Lulay for another 4-6 weeks. Borderline horse collar tackle by Hebert, easily the dirtiest player in the league. Hope the League looks at it for supplemental discipline.

So I guess the new ownership groups in those cities were owed Grey Cups?

Hamilton is badly past due for a Grey Cup (last one was in 1996!)... one would think they deserve it in 2018, but it does seem unlikely that the east would host 3 years running.

Nice to see that the Grey Cup will be in Ottawa in 2017 for the City of Ottawa's "150th birthday celebrations"!

I'm willing to give the writer a pass on this one. He clearly could have written it better, but I'm sure he meant that the the Grey Cup will be held in Ottawa while the City is hosting celebrations of the 150th birthday of Canada.

Do you really think he thought that 2017 was the 150th birthday of the City of Ottawa?
