New rendering posted by 'Urbannizer' on HAIF of the 28-story apartment tower for uptown as part of the 1 billion dollar development. It'll sit on top of a 7-story parking garage with ground floor retail. So essentially this is a 35-story building.

Luxury Apartment Tower & Retail

Houston, Texas

Located in the heart of a mixed-use district, this 28 story luxury residential tower offers a convenient urban lifestyle. The tower sits on a 7-story garage and 14,000 s.f. of street level retail. The building is clad in a crisp combination of low E solar glass and aluminum panels for an architectural expression of subtle sophistication.

The development focuses on young professionals and baby boomer empty nesters. The Design of the tower offers a fine mix of modern luxury and a lifestyle of convenience. Residents will be able to enjoy outdoor cafes, boutique retail shops and entertainment at their doorstep.

This is a very elegant design. I counted 28-floors including the parking garage.

A lot of development looks like it's chasing the Superbowl. Especially hotels of course. I'm guessing there will be a lot of parties geared towards these new residential and hospitality developments.

Saw this sign over by Hermann Park. This does not look like a Helix.

I'm really impressed with all the construction in Houston. 1111 Travis, the 2 SkyHouses, BHP Biliton tower, Hanover Post Oak and 2929 Weslayan. I feel like these next ten years we will see a lot of growth in Houston.

Seems out of place, since it's on the vacant lot down the street.

Yes, three of them. Initially Hines wanted a fourth property on that block as well but the owner refused to sell.

This may be non-news, but then again...

Savoy developer seeks assistance

I think they just want a share of the TIRZ money.

It's a landlord's market downtown, but you knew that already.

The sky’s the limit for downtown office rents
