Will the playing field be located where are all those trucks and cranes are or is that just a temporary construction deck?

I wonder what the size of that deck will be? Maybe 100,000 sf or so?

Looks like there will be a ton of space underneath, too.

Falcons stadium name coming soon

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/b...ming-soon.html

Quote:
The Atlanta Falcons will have a name for their new $1.5 billion stadium “sooner rather than later,” Rich McKay, the team’s president and CEO, told members of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce Monday.

“We’ll make that announcement ... any time now,” said McKay, who gave a breakfast audience at the Cobb Energy Centre an update on the stadium and the team as the Falcons prepare for the 2015 season.

I wonder if they'll call it Falcons Field at XXX Stadium?

I'd be really happy with either of those. Who else is possible?

I like the sounds of Coca-Cola Field.. i think that's likely

i hope it's not some rendition of "built by the Home Depot" hhhaha.

or maybe it will be some boring corporate company or bank that just dropped a shit ton of money

Mock-Up Facade of Stadium Exterior

It's going to be one massive grayish building.

For some reason I'm thinking it's going to be sponsored by Delta. The 'winged' design, the contemporary lines seem a perfect fit for them. I read on ABC that Delta is working to modernize its marketing message. What a perfect fit with that stadium. pure speculation

*Bah you beat me to it!

http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/D...Superdome.aspx

a little awkward that the Saints and the Falcons will both have the same stadium sponsor.. but according to that article the Superdome contract expires in 2021, and the falcons deal is rumored to be a 30 year deal ( yeah right like the new stadium will still be there in 30 years )..

this naming deal makes sense since Mercedes-Benz is moving their U.S. headquarters to Atlanta

Hey! I like the idea. I have doubt it if they will have considered it. Delta is a worst airlines. Because they change new SkyMiles program and it's sucks. I hate Delta! I actually fly on American Airlines and it's right choice for me.
