West Edmonton Mall right beside the Sears on the lower floor, maybe?

Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn moving to WEM this fall By Bill Mah, edmontonjournal.com May 8, 2012

EDMONTON - An upscale home furnishings retailer and its sister kitchenware chain are coming to Edmonton in the fall.

Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma are opening at West Edmonton Mall in late September.

“We are excited to bring both Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma to Edmonton simultaneously,” Patrick Connolly, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer for Williams-Sonoma Inc., said Tuesday. The company owns both chains.

“This ideal location at West Edmonton Mall allows us to respond to customers interested in high quality kitchenware and home furnishings in Western Canada. We always knew we wanted to bring these brands into the Edmonton market, since customers from all over Alberta shop our Calgary locations.”

Pottery Barn opened its first Alberta store at Calgary’s Chinook Centre in October 2005. In June 2005, Williams Sonoma opened its first western Canadian store at the same mall.

West Edmonton Mall’s Williams-Sonoma location will be about 7,000 square feet and carry cookware, serveware, tools, linens, food products, cooking ingredients and cookbooks.

Edmonton City Centre - response from Oxford to a C2E poster:

Quote:
Thank you [etownboarder] for you taking the time to prepare your email. We also would like to thank you for your continued patronage to City Centre Mall!
*
I would like to report that there is not a trend but a Revitalization plan in our future, which we are really looking forward to.
*
With the Downtown Revitalization plans the City is undergoing, we too are also a big part of the Downtown plan. Since we are located in the heart of our City, we are creating plans of our own to match those of the City's over time.
*
We are also being selective on who needs to be in our Centre as well as the choices we make for tenancies. Our research demographics are asking us for certain brands and retail choices that we need to attract. Most new tenants take apporximatly 1-2 years to open from start to finish with numerous meetings/discussions. We have several new tenants in the horizon and are looking forward to completing all the changes over the next year or two!
*
We are very excited about the future and we appreciate your email. I hope this addressed some of your concerns and that we are here to stay and grow.
*
Thank you!

J Crew will be opening an outlet in SEC in addition to the WEM store. Not sure about the timeline though.

Edit: Will be located between Quiksilver and Reebok stores

^ Interesting.... the TW (does Garner even say that anymore? It's been a couple years since I've listened to him) will be happy about that.

^ I'm hoping it's a ECC redevelopment announcement and not just some lame fashion show or new retailer.

Target confirmed Friday that Edmonton’s Kingsway Mall will be home to a Target store, to be opened in winter 2013.

Is anyone going to City Centre Mall at noon to check out what's happening? I'd go but I have an appointment I can't get out of.
