Don't worry, for about half a minute I stared at that image completely bewildered.

Anyone have any ideas about what the metal designs at the top are for? Are they purely decorative?

That is very good progress. Now, if they can just keep it up, get to ten floors or so and keep the momentum going. I have a lot of faith in this project.

The perfect shot to put into context where this tower will rise...

I believe they can do more than 10 with the financing they currently have in place, no?

I'm not sure about that, but I would hope that they can.

I think this is slightly possible, actually. If you think about it, these guys could just fly, but they won't go faster than a floor every 5 days (sorta how concrete works, yeah?). Ok, so assuming this is exactly 75 floors (and nothing above that for mechanicals), that's about 370 days away (1 floor done, 74 to go). 1WTC is clearly doing a floor a week on average, and I believe the 1WTC is on floor 45, with 60 to go. That's 420 days away. It's going to be close, that's for sure. 4WTC will actually top out about the exact same time as 1WTC because of the height difference. It's going to start going up really fast now that they're finishing the transfer floors.

And that's assuming Barnett gets financing to finish construction, which I believe he will. It's just a matter of when. A delay in financing could slow things, as we see with the Diamond Tower which has been frozen in place now for a year or so. Even the Beekman Tower had a mid-construction delay as Ratner had to rework the costs. But I just feel like this one will pull through.

Haven't checked this one in a while. It's looking good. As I read the comments about the financing, I can only hope for the best.
