i don't know if this was mentioned in here

BierCraft Coming Soon to UBC’s Wesbrook Village

Vancouver-based craft beer pub and restaurant BierCraft has leased the 4,600 SF restaurant space at Wesbrook Village, UBC. The sunny patio, wide selection of Belgian and craft beers and delicious menu are expected to become major draws for local residents, UBC students and Vancouver’s Westside.

Three other new tenants will soon be welcomed into the Wesbrook Village community: The Hot Box Yoga, Daily Catch Seafood Company and Dough Girls Comfort Kitchen and Bakery. These new tenants will serve the daily needs of the 3,700 local residents currently living in Wesbrook Village, a vibrant new sustainable neighbourhood in the heart of the UBC Campus.

Artigiano is opening there from my understanding

Has anybody seen the Donnelly Group ads talking about they are "unique and local"? As if they are a farm market. Makes me want to puke... I can't think of a place that's more corporate and fake.

Sorry for the slightly off-topic post.

Funny with those rumors on Donnelly Group taking over the Boston Pizza rights inside downtown Vancouver. Though it sort of makes sense since they've never had any restaurants in the downtown core before.
If anyone had the deep pockets to pull a move like that it would be them although I am not sure why they wouldn't set up their own "urban gastro pizza sports public houses" instead of paying into the BP coffers. It still blows my mind that BP can get away with charging 20 dollars for a small pizza. You can get out of Nicli for less money.

Jeff Donnelly couldn't afford Boston Pizza which is a Billion Dollar company and I don't expect to see Jim Treliving selling it anytime soon.

It's funny because if Donnelly Group was able to serve BP's food menu, their food revenue would skyrocket and they would do much better at lunch and on weeknights.

Unfortunately Jeff Donnelly has placed little emphasis on the food offering through the chain. Even the one attempt at a sit-down (Blackbird) is mediocre.

Can't blame him though, he is basically printing money by simply buying and controlling liquor licenses in dimly lit spaces filled with TV screens.

I know Rogue brewing in Oregon sent some nasty letters to the Rogue bars around Vancouver but nothing came of it.. and those are directly related industries.

I don't think it really matters unless more $$$ are involved.

Speaking of Rogue they upset the whole craft beer industry a couple of years back with their trademark on "Cascadian" not sure what ended up happening in the end but it was ugly at the time.
The new signs Rogue put up at Waterfront station are a crime. A little disappoint the landlord would allow them to put up that monstrosity on such a beautiful building

Chipotle is opening a store at Metrotown, next to the A&W by the Skytrain. They're going to make a killing.

I noticed signs announcing it in the window, I think they went up today.

Some more downtown without line-ups to the door would be nice. Also if the people working there could develop a sense of urgency and customer focus, but I digress...

What new signs? Newer than what you can see here on Google street view?

I am also not sure what the outcry over some signs is all about. I have not noticed, but will keep my eyes open upon next visit. They have very juicy burgers that I would recommend.

Curious statement there: 'Formerly known as the Canadian Pacific Railway Station, this Vancouver heritage building is now North America’s largest transit hub, serving as a station for SkyTrain, Canada Line, West Coast Express, SeaBus, public transit buses, and taxis.' I can't see this possibly being true.
