I drove by today and along with the ongoing drilling it looks like a couple of piers have been poured. As this is a fairly small site it will take them a while to get to a point where they are building up and not just building down.

phase 1- they said from the start it will be 2 phases so it wont be 18 floors initially.

This doesn't look like a building that says "I'm going to grow bigger one day".
I wonder if the long term plans have changed. But HUP will always need office and back office space-------

This has always been a two phased project. Phase 1 is the first 8 floors. Phase 2 is the remaining 10 floors. Nothing has changed, and they have not chopped the building in half.

Last time Penn Medicine went multi-phase on a building, we got this frankenmashup. I certainly hope we don't get another one of these.
