I know many of you have a hard time believing it... but it's a great area. In the CBD, but not the congestion of Rainey or West End.

The Independent is in no such lawsuit. Please do not make up news.

I agree. Lived in Clarksville, used to walk to meet my wife at her office at MLK and Lavaca. It's a great little suburban sub-neighborhood, and this is exactly the thing that will give it that spark to take it to the next level.

Not to mention all of the improvements around the Capitol... I think this will be the first of many.

It hasn't started yet. But a Demo permit was filed today for the building on site. So it's getting closer to starting.

All Signs Point to Yes at the Linden, Northwest Downtown’s Tallest Tower Yet

https://austin.towers.net/all-signs-...est-tower-yet/

The Linden, a 28-floor downtown Austin condo tower planned in the now rapidly-growing but previously rarely-developed northwestern corner of downtown Austin, is one step closer to becoming this area’s first major residential tower in many years. Along with a recent City of Austin permit for the installation of a 418-foot tower crane at the site for the project’s pending construction, a demolition permit application filed earlier this week is now in review for the 1980s office structure atop a 0.3-acre site at 313 West 17th Street, the southeast corner of West 17th and Guadalupe Streets:

This one is 100% happening. They've secured $279 million in construction capital.

Are you sure about that amount? Seems very high considering there are only 117 units. $279MM + developer profit means every unit would be $3+MM
