Here's a picture from the back. The window separations have a gradient from just glass to thinner to thicker from left to right, and then on the side face it starts to jut out to its max depth. If you look at the front shots, the front facade then gradients from that max depth at that corner down to flat again to the other side. The details here are low key the most sophisticated of the buildings going up right now imo. It's almost like if you pushed the "supports" diagonally through a glass building

Love this. Wish they were carrying the curves all the way around though.

Has anyone walked that area recently. I haven't in few years but I felt like it was completely devoid of any mixed use or even entrances to entire sides of these facilities. You can walk a hundred yards along a building façade with no entrances. I appreciate this are all very specific use buildings but still pretty bleak nonetheless.

Oh it's awful. It's crazy too, b/c there are tens of thousands of (highly paid) people who work in the complex on a daily basis and it has incredibly sparse amenities.

The lack of retail is really frustrating in the area. I have a feeling it's to monopolize food with their cafeterias lol.

The lack of options is very annoying. Nothing other than the Kitchen Gia, Jimmy John's, and a Starbucks. Also some info that isn't too interesting but not necessarily public either: CHOP is building a new pedestrian bridge to connect the main hospital and Buerger Center to accommodate the demolition of the Wood Center in early '22. It will wrap around the edge of the Wood Center and above East Service Dr. They're trying to get a move on with construction of the new tower in its place ASAP.

Love the texture on this! Turns another boring rectangle box of glass into something interesting

There's a curve to it and the windows are turned at an angle. Also, a 3D visual effect given this set up. One of the more surprising designs. I like it.

I LOVE how they even had the vents follow the theme.

Maybe Penn Medicine should outsource the designing of ITS buildings to CHOP.

Lol how do you get better photos from a moving train than I could standing completely still?

Looks great. I don't remember the renderings show this texture at all.

What a beautiful building.

A stunner, really.

I would love to live in a building with that facade. Imagine the living spaces.
