Quick snapshot from my phone. They are also tearing up the pavement on upper Wacker.

Are they going to try to find a less awkward way for Wacker to meet Lake Shore Drive?

American cities really need to start getting rid of intersections and lights. I don't see why certain lanes don't just peel off or merge into LSD there. It should be seamless.

Every country has some form of citizenship by investment.

And countries like the US need immigration - it's not a bad thing if some of those people are wealthy and "shopping" for a green card rather than being destitute.

Honestly, I don't get why people are so up in arms about things. So a person invests a bit of money and creates jobs for Americans, and invests in a city or cities - and that's a bad thing? I don't think the guy investing $20M into the American economy and creating 100 jobs for Americans is going to be taking your job.

Building a cage - note the diameter

Keeping up the pressure

Catching Pokemon ?

The place where the pressure meets the T-Bar this rotating collar is on the top of the long shaft that has the drill at the other end.

The crains have 2 or more winches, here one is being attached to the collar. The compressed air after driving the hammers causes a convection current which deposits the tailings (sp ?) on the top of the bit.

And out it comes - the crane operator shook the bit back and forth first which settled out the gravel (de-watered ?). After the deluge he then lowered the collar and used it to scrape off most of the remaining gravel.

Much of the work I have done over the years has been for hard working and successful imagrents. Very important to our way of life. Construction definitely depends on this.

Leading the crane

Compressors and the come-along (frame with block and tackle for pulling out those hard to pull caisson sleeves)

A very noisy crew

This has got to be the busiest site that this city has seen in decades. I remember riding my bike to trump back in the day and it not having nearly as much comotion as this one has. It's Awesome. Lets cross our fingers to get the spire site roaring within the next ten years.

What's the time frame for foundation work before we see it rise? Roughly a 8-9 months?
