I noticed that the whole crown/peak was internally lit up last night.
Has it be lit up before?

Only thing I could find about some external lighting on the tower is a NYC lighting company called Francis Milloy Design. But it didn't show anything on the crown.

Yup, that's what it looked like.
The whole triangular peak was lit up from inside.
