Their setting up the shoring walls. Two excavators on sight doing the digging. It’s been about a week.

Drove past the site today. Excavation is still underway, but looks to be about 2 or 3 levels below grade now. This should start rising pretty soon.

Good. It seemed to be on pause for a little while.

At this rate, this section or transitway/Richmond Road will become like Sheik Zared Road, just a long boulevard lined with a canyon of towers.

Harley, your shot looks more like Scott at Churchill, to me. Did you upload the wrong photo?

No, right place and right photo. 2070 Scott St. is at Scott and Churchill, where you see the big dig at the bottom.

There aren't many places for tall buildings on the North side of the Transitway/Scott (you said Richmond but I know you meant Scott), aside from the Graham Spry Building land which is slated for an affordable housing development.

OOPS. Right you are, Harley. I keyed on the word 'Azure' and thought "929 Richmond".

Then OTSkyline's comment, referring to the Transitway/Richmond Road sealed the deal for my mind.

You are quite right 'The Azure' (929 Richmond) and 'Azure Westboro' (2070 Scott) are two different buildings.

I stand corrected.

Oups, yet meant Scott. And didn't necessarily mean tall buildings (40+ stories) but more just the general idea of a road/transitway lined with towers on both sides in the future.

This pit is VERY deep. It looks like they are digging for the crane base now.

Or, digging for sump pump pit, I mean elevator shaft. Formwork seems to be in place for crane base on the far side.

I have a residential HVAC background, I have only worked in commercial construction for a few months. We should go for beers sometime and share knowledge.

Draw blood? Even with long shears?

I may take you on that beer offer one day.

Out of curiosity, did you take an Architecture course at Algonquin 10/15 years ago?
