Conversion of the old
Otis Elevator foundry at 16th and Laflin in Pilsen into 84 loft apartments was approved this week at City Council. 42 parking spaces provided. I can't find any renderings of the current proposal.
I'm shocked there was zero public debate about this proposal in the neighborhood, when other similar conversions have been controversial in the past. The zoning change didn't include an ARO form so I'm not sure how much affordable housing they are providing and whether is is on-site, off-site, etc. However, Alderman Sigcho-Lopez voted for it...
