Here's my mess... trying to build around my polluted land and find a way to prevent it from "upgrading" my Montreal rowhouses to Laval condos.

Jealous of you guys. I haven't done anything since moving to PEI and the one evening I want to come home and play is the one evening I finally end up with social plans

Best method I found to slow upgrades is to not upgrade your streets. Could lead to traffic problems though so make sure you plan for it.

Not sure if there is anything else that can be done.

This is what I've been working on in my private region "Wentworth Valley". The city shown here is around 40'000 people now and I'm shaping it to be the education capital (call it practice for joining the SSP region ). In the first photo you can also see my other claimed city which is almost exclusively detached-housing and industrial wasteland.

"Dezone" the townhouses. They will remain standing and inhabited but won't get redeveloped until they are demolish by you or burned down.

Jeddy and Copes, your cities are looking great! Every good city needs an industrial, dirty, crime-ridden neighbour to compare themselves to!

Just kidding Signal, you'll get the hang of it. It's a complicated game!

Crime hasn't been that bad in my city.

Honestly, the worst case of crime experienced so far was robbery. EA took my money and I got left with no game to play.

These servers blow.

As bad as it sounds, I think its Signals town... I'm consistently getting hit with msgs about murders, robbers and arsonists that fled his town. Hahaha I've got so many police offers I've gotta send them to his place.

Hi guys, I discovered after downloading that this game is not suited to computers not meant for it. It took hours of painfully slow response times (the time between a mouse click, and when something actually happens seems like several seconds) just to end up with something that looks like a bad version of Grand Falls Windsor, mostly Windsor. Plus, it was very difficult to get on to the servers at the time, and just to claim a territory, I had to go on Western Europe. And, how do you do a screenshot, I haven't found it yet.

^I think there may be a way in origin, though I'm not sure.

In other news, the server is pissing me off. I think the creators really screwed themselves by not having an offline option here. If the server's messed up, I can't visit Cope Landing and see what's happening, and hence can't get back in to martyville. Sigh.

It's on the North America East Server 2

then find the Skyscraperpage.com region (you might be able to use the search to find this or in the right hand corner there is a friends button and a search, you can look up my username and get to the region that way)

Also I tried to take a screenshot of my city last night and I can't figure out how... it just took a pic of my desktop :S .. can someone if they can while on today pop over and take an update shot of Nuevo Destino?

I woke up before work today hoping to play a bit since I got about half an hour of playtime in last night.

I waited in a queue for 40 minutes and never saw the Play button turn green.

-_-

Just press "C" while playing and it'll take a screenshot.
