Heard a crazy rumor this evening. The extension to the Marshalls building will be home to a Chick FIL A. Seems too large to me.

If you're referring to Galway development and the addition next to Dollarama, this is new Marks location.

Wonder if they'll inflate the national pricing like Pizza Hut is doing...

Anyone know what’s up with this? Sign still says opening soon. Been saying that since July.

No specifics.

But I've seen job fairs advertised and there appears to have been a good bit of work ongoing.

Its been mothballed for 2-3 years, so I suspect there is a fair bit of mechanical and other work to be done to bring it up to par with their current franchise standards?

There was a sign company there over the past couple of days.

So I expect its a matter of time.

Montana's is now open on Stavanger Drive. The owners are the guys who own several of the local Dairy Queen's.

If you didn't want to go all the way to Galway to your fix of Pizza Hut, they now have a second new location opened in the centre of town on the corner of Cashin Ave and Pennywell Road.

The McDonald’s in the Esso on Anderson Avenue closed for good today. It had been opened since the late 1990s.

Fat Bastard Burrito Co. opened their new Mount Pearl location on February 9th. It's located in the Glenhill Plaza, in the same building as Menchie's. They now have 2 locations in Newfoundland. They have over 75 locations in Ontario, but plan on expanding across Canada, now that Mary Brown's acquired the chain last year.

I wonder if Krispy Kreme will open up here in their nation-wide expansion plans.

God I hope so. Krispy Kreme rocks. When visiting the states, I always make a point to find one.

Wouldn't mind trying. The other donut chains aren't standouts except maybe for their terrible coffee.
Wonder if there's a Popeye's (Louisiana Kitchen) in our future? Would be welcome competition for Mary Browns's. Not sure why they show a location in St. John's when there isn't one. Social media mischief?

I think it's someone messing around, they included a picture of an empty building on Margaret Pl with Popeyes text overlayed on it.

I've had Popeyes once, and it was alright. I though the Big Mary was better.
