That's probably the best angle I've seen of Encore
Overall a great shot!

^That's an amazing photo.

Imagine if we kept everything over 4 storeys in that photo - our Downtown would have much more character. Such a shame we lost so much.

Yup.

Sadly, every major city could say the same.

Most others in Canada have a much deeper stock then us though (i.e. Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, etc.). Though, they likely had more old buildings to start with, given we were the last major city to be settled and develop.

Awesome shot Sonog!

Stantec needs to get those fins lit - it's embarrassing how long the lighting is taking.

Fins will draw attention to the empty top half

Amazing pic though and Stantec will fill up eventually.

Yea, how could he just drop over a billion dollars of investment into the city. What a jerrrkkk...

Listen, anything could happen, but I was told the lights were deleted during construction and none of the electrical infrastructure was put in for them.

I know right? Terrible guy to bring the ICE District to our fair city. I would have rather we kept the gorgeous Greyhound Terminal and parking lot

It does suck that they opted not to go with the lights, but I wonder if that is because they didn't get much support for their rezoning application for digital signage and the rooftop 'billboard'.

Because trying to cancel enterprises is oh-so-virtuous. Edmonton's becoming Vancouver lite, with aspirations.
