Yah it is an early adopter tax unfortunately. Costs will go down as more buildings come online the system. Unfortunately this is a decades on process so will take time and doesn't help immediate owners.

What? Really? I thought they still had a fair bit of work still left to do on the crown.

It looks like there's a fair bit left to do, but yeah, it's on it's' way down.

Was just looking into what they have rented out / for rent at form.ca and of the 16 commercial ground floor retail units from phase b & c, Save on Foods is the sole completed deal, 9 are currently under contract / negotiations, and 7 are available for rent. The listed available date is: October 1, 2021. Good to see so many of the units already under negotiations. Hopefully they announce some soon.

they shouldn't be too picky on the negotiation considered the economy and how much retail spaces are sitting empty at Park Place

It is not fair.

My strata started a public petition to City of Surrey for this over charge energy issue.

The office portion is almost fully glazed. Looks like they have started concentrating the work towards the lobby area now.

Thanks for posting,
I hadn't looked at the layout in a while.
I didn't realize that Save-on-Foods is the only big box unit.
Unit 12 is under contract for a pharmacy but is only 10,000 sq ft.

^^^Cactus is the only place I think that would be able to utilize all that space. Technically there is only 1 in Surrey in South Surrey with one being in Delta basically on the border. So I could see it doing very well in that location. In my opinion I would rather see something more unique open in that space rather then your typical chain restaurant although I don't see that happening.

Hmm - I thought that a render with Cactus Club signage had already been released (?). Either way, agree that's what it'll likely be although I too would prefer something unique a la My Shanti in South Surrey or even that Tandoori Flame buffet on Scott Road. If anyone wants to start a petition for the Cheesecake Factory to head up North this way, send me the link for that as well.

yes! Funny thing is that I don't think I have ever actually eaten cheesecake there. I just like the other food. I'm a big fan of the great canadian brew house. Too bad they don't have one in surrey.

The render has shown Cactus Club signage since the beginning, but the space still hasn't been leased out as far as I can tell.
