Its a bit tricky because the numbers are not officially presented until a couple months after the new year...
So more will likely be added on after time as some are still unsure yet.

New York City has seen a rise with 10% in murders so far this year. But mainly because of an increase in one Borough.

17/5-2020: 119
Last year: 108

Most of the boroughs are down or at the same level as last year except Manhattan North and Brooklyn South.

The rate of Manhattan North has risen with 144% (22 YTD vs 9 PY), almost exclusively because of the 23rd and 25th precinct which together has seen 10 murders compared to 0 last year.

Both 23rd and 25th precinct serves East Harlem.

Looks like NYC has somehow managed to increase murders relative to last year despite the lockdown - this is, at best, a serious failure of city leadership:
