City Council member Greg Casar filed a report naming a treasurer in a possible campaign to fill the state Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin. He could still back out but it seems pretty clear he is ready to try to move to the state house.

-Austin activist Cristina Ramierz did not make the senate runoff.
-Council member Delia Garza did make the runoff for County Attorney against longtime county and city lawyer Laurie Eiserloh
-Groups can not collect signatures for petitions outside city libraries which is annoying
