Yea, me neither. But wouldn't a rim of light (that could change colors, ala Hanncock, etal) be fantastic?

At first glance I thought it might be part of the building where glazing could go over but light source could go behind. More likely just support for the glazers doing that final stretch of concrete.

If they did it, I'd want them to do it atop each of the "tower" sections. I think that would look nicer that way

Who's our best photoshopper that we can get to do this?

No building will ever compare to Lake Point Tower on the Lake with all those sensuous curves to it.

So glad you guys like it.

Yeah as I was making it I realized how badly I want it to become reality. Oh well, better for the environment

Nice update!

From where we were a few months ago it's incredible how much ground that glass crew made up. Phenomenal job.

Those are warblers. There's a zillion subspecies of them, they all migrate South around this time of year after mating in Northern States and Canada.

Are you guys really not expecting any lighting on this one? Would seem weird for such a prominent tower, but then again Chicago developers don't seem to put much (if any) stock into lighting their towers. This one is from a Chinese developer though, so who knows.

^^ Looking to be black so far (if that was even a revelation) just like the other screens I'd imagine.

...is the framing that is going up above the concrete top adding to the official height of the building ?

...or was that always included in the total height ?
