I sent them an e-mail asking if I could pitch a tent on one of the open mechanical floors. Sadly, I have yet to get a reply.

And as for sleekness or lack thereof as you suggest, I suggest you look at that tower's east/west profile...
The General Motors Building and RCA Building aren't the same building...

I should have been specific, sorry. I meant the back to back row of brutalist buildings on 6th avenue are just as ugly as the GM building. You cannot compare it to 432, you just can't.

He quoted Eveningsong who mentioned the GM building.

That is only slightly larger than my walk-in closet. Yes, it is a huge walk-in closet but still. Of course, the trade-off is that the walk-in closet is in Indiana with the corn and soybean fields and not midtown Manhattan.

Yep, it's just another level.

On topic, the tower looks already freakishly tall. Can't imagine it still has 200 feet to go ...

Compare the progress between July 13 and July 20, from the same vantage point in Queens. The second video has higher quality due to better weather conditions, meaning that I had to tinker with edits and contrast settings to a lesser extent.

And there are no such units for sale at 432 Park.

The tiny studios selling for $1.6 million and up are maid's quarters, in the building basement. You can't buy them unless already own a unit in the tower itself.

The cheapest unit in the building right now is $18.25 million.

ill need to track down the diagram, but pretty sure the maids quarters are not in the basement. they are on one of the lower levels though.

The perimeter is up to apparent level 76 or 1,178' The core just jumped up to the 79th apparent level or 1,224' 6'' This level is equal to the 102nd floor of the ESB!

My latest video from today which also feature's (off topic) One World Trade. 432 from this distance in Rockaway really shows it's impact that it is making on the skyline as seen from here do you agree let me no what you think.

The core has surpassed BOA. Of course, 432 Park passed the roof height of BOA long ago.

EDIT: Excuse the commentary but ... I like spires. In NY, spires definitely have their place and are architecturally significant. That said, BOA and NY Times especially, while certainly adding to the skyline, feel like frauds when it comes to their place on the "tallest" list. 432 Park has a dominant place in the skyline without the benefit of a long pointy stick mounted on top.

yeh, when talking about whether something is taller than BOA Tower, i think it is appropriate to say whether it is taller than BOA Spire.

baah.. just missed grabbing a screenshot off the 59th street cam where they had both One57 and 432 in the same frame.. theyve been messing around with the camera. looks to be pointed at the street right now
