hkskyline's 2013 in GUANGZHOU

Xiguan - Located in the western part of the old city, this area was home to the rich elite, living in rowhouses shaded by leafy trees.

Liwan Museum depicts life inside one of these luxury homes. The ground floor consists of courtyards, living rooms, and the dining area, while bedrooms were upstairs.

I really wish I had stayed longer when I was there in 2006. I didn't even see any of the older parts of the city.

Lovely.

They serve seafood porridge (congee), a local specialty.

Lingnan Impression is a theme park depicting traditional life in the past. After a steep admission of 60 yuan, you will find games inside a few of these buildings for an additional sum.
