I won't complain about the design much, unless it ends up with 20 story stains.

I’ve gone the other direction: I think it’s turning out better than I thought. Still many features to appear, so my final opinion could change.

I know, I'm clearly unhinged and need to be committed. Maybe it's just that part of the base with the thick orange panels that really bothers me.

They should just add some yellow panels in to please me

I think everyone needs to go drive through WC and remind themselves of the very low standards over there. Def not UT housing haha

Hahah, good point. I haven't been to WC since my time in real estate.

Just hoping this reads big city supertall and not UT themed in the end (and again, no shade against UT). It's a big deal for us and my hopes are about 1,022' high!

The pattern is very similar to Signature 1909— one of the better designed buildings in WC.

Late to the party here, but -- while it isn't technically parking -- the Fairmont's gigantic blank wall with no entrance, sometimes-working lighting, and kitchen exhaust vents being there for the last couple of years means that the ship has sailed a bit on having anything too great facing Cesar Chavez directly on that side.

More likely, this building's "good sides" will be the main entrance facing red river, along with just the southwest corner fronted by the bridge over Waller creek.

Maybe they’ll put a Raffles there and connect it to the Fairmont. It’ll be like little Doha.

Great shots, Gilly. The glass is really changing this based on the time of day. Loving the dark contrast with the white framing.

Oh yes, again, this is going to be more massive than any of us can imagine.

Hey urbannizer Thanks for the great photos! Big Question...the orange does not show up very well in most photos of yours or others photographers. Does it read well in Person? Can you notice it? I am very curious.

For my eyes it shows up when relatively close (passing on 35), which initially made me nervous due to the whole small college town identity.

I am less and less worried about that as this rises. It's gonna be a stunner

You have to be pretty close to see the orange which is a bummer. By the time this thing gets tall, you wont see the orange at all.
