This is the thread for the new Performing Arts Centre, meant to replace the Playhouse.
The project has been approved for the corner of King and Regent Street in the downtown core (across from Tim Hortens, on the old Bus terminal location, next to the new Courthouse building).

Budget: $81.7M, approved June 12, 2023
Estimated Completion: Late 2026
Timeline:
- June 12, 2023: Project approved
- November 2023: Parking lot closed to begin site preparation
- December 2023: FYI Doctors moves to a new location.
- January 2024: FYI Doctors building torn down.
- April 2024: Construction officially starts
