Yes they have the whole front facade covered in scaffolding.
I suspect York is no where close to starting this tower project if they are renovating the building now.

Yeah I am not sure how close they are on this project but apparently they are starting 131 King this year. I cant see them building 2 towers within a block from each other at the same time.

Is there a link for 131 King? I've seen it mentioned in the LFPress but it was very brief.

No I saw it on facebook only. I think there are no news details probably because it has not hit council yet. It was a picture of a 31 story glass building with some other materials. said construction to start this year.

The patio on the back side of this building is gone now and it is cleared. I feel if this was a bar or restaurant going into this place while they wait to build on it they would keep the patio at the back.

Looks like the street front facade work is wrapped up. I don't think the project to build the tower is going to happen any time soon considering the money spent sprucing up the facade.

York will likely focus down the street at the 131 King site before this one.

From what I've heard, this project was replaced by 131 King Street

Looks like this project is finally back on track.

The Shoeless Joe's is shutting down, and this project is scheduled to be spoken on at the Urban Design Peer Review Panel on January 15th, 2020. Unfortunately the link to the documents about this project on the UDPRP page link to the incorrect project, hopefully that gets resolved soon.

Definitely an interesting proposal that adds to the much needed residential density downtown.

Not a very efficient layout. Alot of wasted space for the long corridor for such a narrow floor plate. The previous design that included the Shoeless Joes land was better. On the other hand it's unlikely York will build this anytime soon given their current projects.

Agreed. Very tacky looking. Should be something nice, considering it's a high traffic area with Bud Gardens.

I liked the first design.

I don't mind the design at all, I think it looks quite different and bold with the yellow accents and thin floorplate. The previous proposal was much nicer, but if they are restricted to that long and narrow site now, then this is probably the best option.
