Does anyone else find it hilarious that this official looking photo of the Westin is taken from the Chateau Laurier?

I think it would look better if the "WESTIN" letters at the top of the building were in black, which would match the window casements, the banquet room addition, and the letters on the podium.

I think the picture was taken form the roof of Union Station.

It would look better. That and re-cladding the podium to better match the Rideau Centre's new modern design.

It's definitely 100% taken from the Southeast corner of the Chateau Laurier

Yes. And you can see a window sill or roof edge in the bottom left corner of the photo.

I note that the new party room actually looks like it's well integrated with the hotel from this angle, unlike from many other angles where it appears quite disjointed.

I've never noticed but now I suddenly hate that one sign says Westin and the other says The Westin.
