It's funny, as I took those photos I was thinking the exact opposite: that I'm glad the Design Commission insisted on the white brick. That said, I agree with you that it is turning out a lot better than the renderings suggested.

To my eye it's a rare example of the finished product turning out exactly as portrayed in the most recent renderings.
