I think Starfish is playing the long game on Barrington. It'll take 3-5 years for the street to really change.

Hopefully the Tramway Building will be restored soon. It looks awful and stands out in a bad way along that stretch now. It could be an attractive and interesting building.

I just hope little businesses like the Old Apothecary Bakery will survive until then. What a great little place!
Yeah I was in there the other day, and loved the ambiance. It was middle of the afternoon on a random weekday, so I was happy to see a fair number of people there. Having said that, they had very low stock on display that day, which to me gave a bit of a bad impression.

TOA Bakery has found a niche selling local bread to nearby restaurants, I don't think it'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Plus due to the fact they just more than doubled in space by expanding into the corner unit!

Tramway is the one Starfish holdout. Last owner disliked them, probably added a "never sell to Starfish" clause in sale.

Shame, Starfish have really rebuilt Barrington, almost single handedly.

I think that's actually the sign of a successful bakery, people buying fresh baked goods.

Yeah my wife and I joked about that... either it was such a great day that they sold all their stock, or they just didn't make enough (given that it was only 1:30pm and I was hoping to buy some bread and rolls). All in all though I was impressed by the place.
