But the shift wasn’t easy, and breakfast dishes don’t typically travel well -- some of COVID-19′s first restaurant closures were brunch spots such as Helser’s and Arleta Library Cafe. Bijou went from being financially sound to bringing in less than $150 a day, which wasn’t enough to support its employees.
