This may be a stupid question, but was this parcel of land back in the 1940s?
Is this the site of those iconic black and white images of Bunker Hill pensioners sitting on benches overlooking downtown?

Angels Knoll Park was featured in the movie '500 Days of Summer'. A must-see for lovers of Los Angeles.

Sadly, the park has recently been fenced off due to an out of control homeless situation.

Isn't there a better way to handle the problem than fencing off an entire park?

This is very upsetting for those of us who live in Downtown. To top it off - they took away our best and only park that wasn't over-designed. Then they took away what little grass we had in Spring St Park. City Officials are still not urban minded enough, I question whether they ever will be in LA.

Also - cool Mas Malo pic up there ^ :-P
