I was a bit surprised that this building went up as late as 1926--the curved corner gives it the look of some downtown buildings 20 years older. Anyway, Louisianan Judson C. Rives was a well-known LA real estate investor--there is a Judson C. Rives Building downtown on Spring St. (originally the Broadway Central Building), and, as a matter of fact, he lived a block north of the Westchester apts on Westchester Place next to Alfred Rosenheim's house (the architect designed both houses).
