Clanton Street starts getting mentioned in both the
Los Angeles Herald and
Los Angeles Times in 1887.
I don't find a Nanie Hope there; but . . .

Alice died in 1930; and from the obit it appears that she was Clyde's mother. "Nanie" likely indicates "grandma."
