Thanks for connecting the posts together, Martin. That roof sign on the Alta Cienega postcard looks like a good match for the Motor Hotel sign to the left of the billboard. e_r's post on the Alta Cienega Motor Hotel can be found here.

The Tropicana (Or TRIPicana as some called it) area was redeveloped and is now the site of a Ramada and parking, along with restaurants and retail establishments. Duke's Coffee shop relocated to Sunset Blvd.!
