So glad to see movement on Festival Pier at long last. This may be a token gesture just to get everything filed and permitted before the end of 2020 to hold onto the current 10-year tax abatement pre the 2021 change, but encouraging to see the group take this somewhat significant step. Site plan and overall quality looks really strong from this submission. Nice to see them placing retail both at the mouth of the project but also along the river. Completing this project would be significant not just as a shot in the arm for the area's density, but for how much public park space we'd gain as another link in the waterfront system.
